Ethiopia is widely recognized as the birthplace of coffee. The storied coffee origin even has its own coffee legends and mythology. While Ethiopia only produces 3-4% of the world’s coffee supply, it has an outsizes reputation. The variety and character of the coffee that comes from Ethiopia is astounding.

Ethiopia is famed for its “fruit bombs” and for expressing a wide assortment of distinctive floral notes and sweet flavors. Every year, coffee roasters seek out Ethiopian green coffee beans to help them win competitions and delight customers.

From the rugged heights of the Highlands to the flavours of the east and the lemony taste of the south, we work in all of Ethiopia's most famous coffee growing regions. Yirgacheffe, Gedeb, Sidamo, Limu, Jimma & Guji coffee regions each offer a unique quality.

Being a natural resource, born in the conditions that surround them and growing within the unique Ethiopian environment that shapes them, there’s no such thing as bad weather. Only variations in taste and character, depending on season and region.

Here’s the thing: randomly finding great quality coffee in Ethiopia is not that difficult. The trick is to keep producing it, over and over again, with the same quality in greater quantities.
